Every day I drive past this scene for work so when I decided to capture twilight this was a obvious choice to start. There are several factors that contribute to successful shots including the right weather and the timing of the visit.

I have tried to capture each location from a fresh new perspective and this challenges me as a photographer as I take familiar locations and try to produce new compositions.

The ports and harbours of Cornwall are typically captured on a summers day. It was fascinating capturing the images at twilight as the deep blues captured the stillness and vivid colours caused by the street lights.

Launceston Castle stands high above Launceston. When captured at night the colours make the castle seem more commanding. I had never been to Launceston and so it was great to explore this and others towns in and around Cornwall.
