Kingsands was one of the worst affected by the storm. The clock tower that is pictured was battered by the waves and required support struts to hold the foundations up after several holes developed at the base.

The day I visited Porthleven was the peak of the storm, the waves that entered the harbour destroyed most of the fishing fleet and many boats ended up sinking.

The pier at Portreath was destroyed by the storms and so I decided to see the destruction. On this visit the wind was so strong that the spray was being lifted straight off the waves, I was amazed to see that these waves were coming over Gull Rock.

While out trying to capture this photo I met a photographer that has inspired me to get into landscape photography, David Clapp. In this photo you can see the Sennen watchtower and two people that give the wave a sense of scale.
